Hyatt Place Long Island City / New York City

We just spent 4 nights at Hyatt Place Long Island City for a family vacation, and it was absolutely perfect! The rooms are incredibly spacious, making it an ideal choice for families. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax, which made our stay even more comfortable. Location: The hotel is in a fantastic spot—away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan but still easily accessible to everything. It was the perfect balance of peace and convenience. We were able to enjoy the quieter atmosphere of Long Island City but also had quick access to all the excitement of New York City. Special Touches: A huge thank you to the hotel for making our daughter’s birthday extra special. They surprised us with a cake and treats, which made the start of our vacation even sweeter. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really added to the magic of the trip! Service: A big shout-out to Ben, who helped us with our reservation, and Andre, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their exceptional customer service truly made the experience stand out. We felt well taken care of from start to finish. Overall: This hotel offers everything you need for a comfortable family stay in New York City. Spacious rooms, a great location, and fantastic service – we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely be back!

I’m currently staying at the Hyatt Place LIC and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the location is unbeatable—just 25 minutes from Manhattan via subway, with a great neighborhood vibe and plenty of local eats nearby. The room itself is surprisingly spacious for NYC, and the King bed is massive and incredibly comfortable. Also, a shoutout to the front desk team for being so friendly and proactive with the daily bottled water for loyalty members! However, several 'small' issues are holding this stay back from being 5 stars: The Tech Gap: The TV in my room is essentially a decorative piece right now. It gets stuck on the LG welcome screen and shows 'No Signal' when trying to actually watch anything. Unlike most Hyatts, there’s no functioning Chromecast/QR code system to stream from my phone, which is a big letdown after a long day. Missing Essentials: I was surprised to find no mini-fridge in the room. I had to scramble to find a way to keep some fresh fruit I bought from spoiling. Also, the trash bins don’t have liners—it feels unhygienic, especially if you have food waste. Not sure if housekeeping just missed my room or if this is a hotel-wide policy, but it’s not ideal. The Logistics: Just a heads-up for those with lots of luggage: the entrance is right on a busy corner with no dedicated pull-up area. Hailing an Uber involves a bit of a sidewalk shuffle while cars honk behind you. Verdict: If you just need a big bed and a great location, this is it. But if you rely on in-room amenities like a working TV or a fridge, you might want to double-check with the staff before booking. I hope management can iron out these kinks because the 'bones' of the hotel are excellent.

Our experience was nothing short of wonderful! The rooms were spacious and spotless, thanks to prompt and efficient housekeeping. Equipped with a coffee machine, mini fridge, queen-sized beds, and even family room options, comfort was clearly a priority. All of this for $320 a night felt worth it Room service? Super quick—even without asking. Breakfast was a highlight! So many options to choose from: Berry yogurts, fresh fruit juices, toast, and gluten-free choices A spread of bagels, cream cheese, and jams A DIY waffle station, Hot options included one egg dish, one veg, and one non-veg option We loved the hash browns, munchkins, and scrambled eggs Plus, fruits, granola bars, cereals, milk, coffee, and even vegan options!

My family and I stayed for 3 nights. The location is great; it’s safe and less than 10 mins walk to the subway station. We took the 7 and M lines to go to Manhattan. We booked 3 different rooms: king suite with sofa bed, two queen beds, and one king room. All the rooms were clean, and beds were comfortable. The shower in some rooms was a huge advantage, especially for my elderly parents. We slept well at night and it was quiet. The staff were friendly, helpful and provided us with great service; they made their best efforts to accommodate us. As we had bookings back to back, the staff made arrangements to hold our luggage for free prior to the next check-in and even brought our luggage to our room for us. Breakfast was tasty. Unrelated to the hotel and its service, we wish that would be more good restaurant options as Manhattan area. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Place LIC and highly recommended!

Excellent hotel, closed to 2 subways stations. It was a 10 minutes ride to Manhattan, neighborhood felt safe, had. Target and walgreens within a block.

Enjoyed our stay here. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good with a different selection everyday. Front desk was courteous and helpful. The location was great. Only a short train ride away from the city.

We got a suite which was quite generous, given the location and price. The king bed was clean and comfortable, but the HVAC was very weak. I could barely feel the air coming through the vents and the room was very stale for the first few hours. The sofa in the suite is borderline uncomfortable to sleep on, so don’t rely on it for a good night’s sleep. There is a small on-site parking lot for around $30-40 a night. The staff will let you keep your car there on the last day after you check out, so that’s convenient and nice. The front staff were very nice and welcoming. No waiting for 15 min for someone to show up. Overall, a very safe and accessible location for NYC travel.

Great area for visiting New York. Always felt safe. Parking on site was convenient with in and out privileges if you wish to drive to certain locations. Plenty of food areas close by. Staff were helpful and efficient. Room cleaned daily. Would definitely recommend this spot!
